Understanding the gold price
Gold in Australian dollars
Gold is priced internationally in US dollars. The Australian-dollar gold price therefore reflects two things: the US-dollar gold price, and the AUD/USD exchange rate. A change in either moves the price in AUD.
From spot to product price
