How selling works

From our Terms of Trade, clauses 12 and 16.
  1. 01

Contact HLBullion for an indicative quote

Tell us what you would like to sell: the product, quantity and condition. Buy-back quotes are indicative until the items are inspected and verified.

  2. 02

    Provide identification

Valid identification and transaction details are required for statutory records and AML/CTF obligations. You confirm that you own the bullion and are entitled to sell it.

  3. 03

    Inspection and verification

HLBullion may test and verify items to confirm authenticity. Items may be refused where authenticity or ownership cannot be established.

  4. 04

    Final price confirmed

The final price is confirmed after inspection. It may be adjusted for condition, damage, missing packaging, or where refining is required.

  5. 05

    Settlement and payment

Payment follows identity verification, AML/CTF checks, authenticity verification and any South Australian second-hand goods holding requirements, which can require goods to be held for a period (commonly described as 10 days) before resale.

Selling gold bullion

We buy back gold bars and coins. Tell us the product, weight, purity and mint where you know them, and whether you still have the original packaging or assay card. Missing packaging can affect the final price.

For market context, see the gold price in Australia.

Selling silver bullion

We buy back silver bars, coins and rounds. As with gold, condition and original packaging are considered when the final price is confirmed after inspection.
